Creating a chart is a simple process using the Excel Chart Wizard. You first decide what data you want to chart and how you want it to look.
NOTE
Traditionally, bar charts compare item to item, pie charts compare parts of a whole item, and line charts show a trend over a period of time.
Next , Excel will try to determine the direction of the data whether the values to be plotted are in rows or columns .
You must now choose whether you want the chart to display on its own sheet or to appear on the same sheet as the data.
The data from the selected cells of the worksheet is plotted in a chart. If the data in the worksheet changes, the chart will also change automatically.
In the next section, you'll learn how to change the size and look of your chart.
NOTE
A quick way to create an Excel chart is to highlight the chart data and press the F11 key.
