Chapter 4. Applying Actions to Multiple Images

Uncover the Secrets Behind Photoshop's Batch Feature

Batch processing is one of the most powerful things that you can do to speed up your work in Photoshop. It's so important that I've devoted an entire chapter to it instead of just making this a tutorial in another chapter (crazy I know, but hey, it's my book). So why would I do such a thing? Well, other than the obvious answer (which, by the way, is still "It's my book"), I made this its own chapter because I rarely have only one image that needs an action applied to it. More often, I've got hundreds of them. For example, if you're a photographer and you've got a whole photo shoot that you want to apply the same action to, or if you're a designer and you want to get a bunch of images ready for print, batch processing is the way to go and I want to make sure it gets plenty of attention here.
