ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ralph L. Kliem, M.A., PMP, has in-depth , varied experience in project management. He has over twenty years of combined experience working with Fortune 500 and medium- size firms in manufacturing, financial, and information (IT) environments in managerial and technical positions such as corporate auditor , project manager, seminar leader, writer, and methods analyst. In addition to being President of Practical Creative Solutions, Inc., a firm that specializes in project management consulting and training, he is a senior program manager for a Fortune 500 company.

Mr. Kliem is a former adjunct faculty member with Seattle Pacific University, an instructor with Bellevue Community College, founding editor-in-chief of the Northwest Artificial Intelligence Forum (NAIF) Journal , and former editor for the newsletter for the Puget Sound Chapter of the Project Management Institute. He has been a presenter before the Washington Software Association, NAIF, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and has been interviewed by trade publications and national radio.

The author or co-author of over a dozen books that have been translated into several languages and over 200 articles in leading business and trade publications, Mr. Kliem is a member of the Project Management Institute and a former member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and ISACA. He has taught seminars and workshops on project management throughout the United States and Canada.
