Chapter 4. Rosa's Application of MDATogether with the next two chapters, this chapter gives a concrete example of the MDA process. In order to show the power of the MDA approach, the system described is not trivial. It is not a toy system, but a real-life example. We will demonstrate how a fairly simple PIM is transformed automatically into rather complex PSMs and code. The complexity of the complete example is considerable. However, the example is not completely detailed out in all parts of the system in order to limit the size of this book. In this chapter the requirements of the example system are stated and an overview is given of the models and transformations involved. If you are confident that you completely understand the concepts from the earlier chapters, then you may skip the following three chapters, and go directly to Chapter 7. |
