Blindside is a steganography application that allows you to conceal a file, or set of files, within a single digital image. The resulting image appears identical to the human eye, but can typically contain around 50 kb of secret data. The concealed files can also be password protected. Blindside operates by creating slight color inflections in an image which, although invisible to the human eye, can provide a great deal of space in which to store information. Blindside calculates the color differentials between pixels and will modify the image only where it can be sure no one will notice. A proprietary cryptographic algorithm can also be used to scramble the data with a secret pass phrase. More information about this program can be found at www.blindside.co.uk.
