Navigating Between Slides

In the Slides tab, click the slide you want to view.

The slide immediately appears in the work area, also called the Slide pane.

Click the Next Slide button to display the next slide in the presentation.

INTRODUCTION

As you begin building your presentation, you will need to navigate back and forth between slides. In Normal view, you can view different slides using the navigation buttons located in the bottom-right corner of the Slide pane, or you can use the pane's scrollbar.

TIP

Using Keyboard Shortcuts

You can press the Page Up and Page Down buttons on your keyboard to move through a presentation in Normal view. See Part 1 to learn more about view modes.

The next slide is displayed.

Click the Previous Slide button to move back a slide.

The previous slide is displayed.

You can also drag the scrollbar to navigate forward and backward in your presentation.

TIP

Using ScreenTips

When you drag the scrollbar in the Slide pane, a ScreenTip box appears, detailing the name and number of each slide as you drag.

TIP

Using Slide Sorter View

To view all the slides in a presentation, switch to Slide Sorter view. See Part 1 to learn more about using PowerPoint view modes.
