Annoyance Factor 7: Would it drive you crazy if suddenly every time you pressed Shift, Option, Command, or Control it would make an annoying typewriter sound and then giant icons (that represent those modifier keys) appeared on the upper-right side of your desktop? Sure it would. Wouldn't it be funny if that suddenly happened to a friend's or co-worker's machine? Sure it would. Go under the System Preferences under the Apple menu, click on the Universal Access icon, click on the Keyboard tab, and turn on Sticky Keys. Will they know where to go to turn the sound and giant icons off? I doubt it. One of two things will happen: (1) They learn to live with it, or (2) they'll do a reinstall.
