SEARCHING FOR TWO WORDS, NOT A PHRASE

Okay, let's say you want to search for two words individually. For example, you want to search for your name (in my case, Scott), and then you want to search for your last name (Kelby, so I would get all files, email, attachments, etc., from my wife, brother, and son as well). Here's how: First type "Scott" (with no quotations), and then with no space in between type a "pipe," which is what I've always called that vertical line key right above the Return key on your keyboard (it's really Shift-Backslash), and then type "Kelby." Your search will actually look like this: Scott|Kelby (with no spaces in between or quotations). Now Spotlight will search for every occurrence of "Scott" or "Kelby" but not "Scott Kelby" as a single phrase.
