My books aren't set up like a novelyou can jump in anywhere and start on any page. That's true for all of my books, with the notable exception of Macintosh: The Naked Truth, which is about what life is really like being a Mac user in a PC-dominated world. I'm not going to try to plug that book here (ISBN 0-7357-1284-0 from New Riders Publishing for around $19.99, found anywhere cool Mac books are sold) because that's just tacky (Amazon.com offers discounts on the bookorder yours today). Well, with this book you don't have to start at Chapter 1 and read your way through to the back (although there's nothing wrong with that). Actually, you can start in any chapter and immediately try the tips that interest you the most. Also, don't forget to read each chapter's intro pageit's critical to your understanding of what's in that particular chapter (that's totally not true, but it took me a long time to write those intros, so I use little lies like that to get you to read them. Sad, isn't it?). |
