Flash Mailing Lists

When all else fails and you just can't find the answer yourself, there is a large community of Flash developers out there willing to give you a hand. Some of these lists have fairly high traffic.

If you subscribe to one or more of these lists and decide to unsubscribe later, you should note that, in all cases, the subscribe/unsubscribe information appears at the bottom of every email that is sent to you. Don't pester the already overworked list admins with "unsubscribe" requests .

  • FlashCoders (chattyfig.figleaf.com). A very high-traffic list specifically for Flash programmers. Some of the best in the business frequent this list.

  • Flasher (www.chinwag.com/flasher/ info .shtml). A great site for both designers and Flash techies.

  • FLASHmacromedia (groups.yahoo.com/ group /FLASHmacromedia). A moderated discussion group for all levels of Flash users.

  • FlashNewbie (chattyfig.figleaf.com). A good site for anyone relatively new to Flash. Everybody has to start somewhere, and this is great for questions that you just aren't ready to ask the big boys yet.

  • FlashPro (muinar.com/flashpro). A good site for professional ( experienced ) designers and programmers.

  • PowerHousev (chattyfig.figleaf.com). A good place to get your questions answered about using Generator.
