Source Code

There are two kinds of code examples in this book: code fragments and worked examples .

Code fragments are incomplete, and are not intended to be executed on their own. You can build them into your own stylesheets if you find them useful, but you will have to retype the code.

Worked examples are provided in the form of complete stylesheets, accompanied by sample source XML documents to which they can be applied, and an illustration of the output that they are expected to produce. Worked examples are presented as shown in the specimen in the previous section. These stylesheets and source documents can be downloaded. In most cases both the source document and the stylesheet are listed in full in the book, though they are sometimes abbreviated to save space. In all cases, there is a reference to a filename where the full code can be found in the downloaded source code library.

All of this source code is available for download at http://www.wrox.com . Once at the site, simply locate the book's title (either by using the Search box or by using one of the title lists) and click the Download Code link on the book's detail page to obtain all the source code for the book.

Because many books have similar titles, you may find it easiest to search by ISBN; for this book the ISBN is 0-764-56909-0 .

Once you download the code, just unzip it with your favorite compression tool. The files are organized according to the chapter that each example appears in, with one or two of the source files that are used repeatedly held in the top-level directory. Alternately, you can go to the main Wrox code download page at http://www.wrox.com/dynamic/books/download.aspx to see the code available for this book and all other Wrox books.
