Playing InkBall

Although InkBall is designed to be played with a stylus on a Tablet PC, you can play it with a mouse or a stylus with a digitizing pad on any computer. The game's objective is simple: Get the bouncing colored balls into holes of the same color by drawing lines that act as temporary barriers to redirect the balls. You must do this before the time runs out or a ball goes into a hole of the wrong color. However, what makes the game not so simple is the fact that the layout and the effects change each time a new set of balls is released, so you'll need to play around a bit to find all the different variations.

Play InkBall

Click the Start button, type ink in the Search box, and click InkBall to start a game.

To specify the difficulty level of the game, choose the level you want from the Difficulty menu.

Draw lines with a stylus, or with the mouse by holding down the left mouse button, to redirect a ball either toward a hole of the same color or away from a hole of a different color. The line disappears once a ball has touched it. Use the table below to see which color balls you should concentrate on.

You can continue playing as long as you don't get a ball of one color into a hole of a different color, or until you run out of time. However, because the gray balls and the gray holes are neutral, a gray ball can go into a hole of any color, and a ball of any color can go into a gray hole without ending the game.
