Tracking Your Schedule

The Windows Calendar is a great way to keep track of all your appointments, whether they're important business meetings, your child's soccer games, or coffee with friends. With Windows Vista standing by to remind you of your appointments, you should never be late again!

Set an Appointment

Click the Start button, type cale in the Search box of the Start menu, and click Windows Calendar to start the program.

Click the day of the next appointment you want to record.

If the calendar doesn't show the Day view, click the View button until the Day view is displayed.

Click the time of your appointment, and type a label for the appointment.

Add any location information.

Specify the end of the meeting, or note whether it's an all-day meeting.

Click if you want to set up a series of meetings that repeat at set intervals.

Click to set how far in advance you want to be reminded of the meeting.

Add any notes about the meeting.

Tip

If you use more than one calendar, select the calendar and, if it's hosted on a Web site, enter the site's address when you set up the appointment time.
