I'll definitely be covering this information later, but it's such a confusing area (at least, it was for me) that I'll go ahead and hit it now to get you prepped. Take a look at Figure 3.2, which shows that typical PHP-Nuke home page again. This time, I want you to focus on the news stories that appear on the home page. Figure 3.2. Anatomy of a news story.What you're looking at here is a news story, or, in PHP-Nuke's special lingo, an article. It consists of a title and a block of text, just like news stories in a newspaper. Articles are always associated with a topic, and that topic's icon and name are also shown as a part of the news story. Topics basically just help categorize articles. For example, a site on gardening might have topics for News, Outdoor Plants, Indoor Plants, and Gardening Tools. Or something like thatI'm no good at gardening. |
