Sharing Files with SharePoint

If you have access to an Office or Windows SharePoint Server 3.0 site, (workspace collaboration using a Web server), you can synchronize file content between Groove and SharePoint libraries. Groove uses the SharePoint Files Tool as a centralized location to work on SharePoint files and with people outside your workspace. The SharePoint Files Tool synchronizes data with workspace members in the same way as the standard File Tool. The one who sets up the SharePoint connection is the synchronizer, and is typically the workspace Owner. The synchronizer has two options: manual or automatic based on a time interval. Simply double-click a SharePoint file to edit it in its native program. As the synchronizer, you can also check out/in files to avoid conflicts with other SharePoint users while you edit a file.

Set Up a SharePoint Connection

In Launchbar, double-click the workspace you want to open, and then click the SharePoint Files tab.

Click Setup.

Enter the SharePoint Server Web address, and then press Enter.

See your Network Administrator for specifics.

Click the library in which you want to connect.

Click Select.

All the files in the SharePoint library are synchronized with the Groove workspace.
