We all used to talk about personal responsibility and the chance to make a contribution - now it's a reality. Increasingly employees at all levels want to be themselves . The ˜I-am-the-best-at-being-me' mantra will manifest itself increasingly as employees demandthat their workplace fullyrecognises their needs andexpectations. Studies on bothsides of the Atlantic suggest that employees at all levels (from senior managers to office juniors) increasingly list the need for ˜personal authenticity' among their key criteria for job satisfaction. It is no longer enough to meet the needs for a challenge or a good salary; we must also allow people to ˜be themselves at work.'
