Copying and Pasting Objects

You can copy a selected object or multiple objects to the Office Clipboard and then paste the objects in other parts of the presentation. The Office Clipboard allows you to copy multiple items of text or pictures from one or more presentations. When you copy multiple items, the Clipboard task pane appears and shows all of the items that you stored there. You can paste these items of information into PowerPoint, either individually or all at once.

Copy an Object

Select the object.

Click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar.

Display the slide on which you want to paste the object.

Click the Paste button on the Standard toolbar.

Hold down Ctrl, and then drag the object.

Copy Multiple Objects Using the Office Clipboard Task Pane

Select multiple objects you want to copy.

The objects are copied into the Office Clipboard task pane.

Display the slide on which you want to paste the object(s).

In the Clipboard task pane, click an item to paste it on the slide.

Did You Know?

You can move an object . Drag the object to another area of the slide.

You can change the Office Clipboard options . To change the way the Office Clipboard works, click the Options button at the bottom of the Office Clipboard task pane and turn on or off your preferences.
