Naming Cells and Ranges To make working with ranges easier, Excel allows you to name them. The name BookTitle , for example, is easier to remember than the range reference B6:B21. Named ranges can be used to navigate large worksheets. Named ranges can also be used in formulas instead of typing or pointing to specific cells. If the cell or range you want to name has labels, you can have Excel automatically name the cell or range for you. If you have already entered a cell or range address in a formula or function, you can apply a name to the address instead of re-creating it. Name a Cell or Range -

You can delete a name range . Click the Insert menu, point to Name, click Define, select the range name, and then click Delete. | |
