Changing Options

You can customize several settings in the Excel work environment to suit the way you like to work. If you always save workbooks in a specific folder, you can change the default location where workbooks are saved. You can make general changes, including the default font and the number of sheets in a new workbook. If your workbooks usually contain five sheets, you could make five the workbook default. You can also change editing options, such as whether the active cell moves after you enter data, and whether to allow drag-and-drop moving. Taking a few minutes to change Excel's default setting saves time in the long run.
