Chapter 8: Timing

Overview

For years , Wayne's church has used PowerPoint to display the words to the hymns and other songs during services. One year, he decided to expand that usage to teach the music for a series of special musical services held during the holiday season .

He needed to teach three new songs to the adult choir and five new songs to the children's choir. He didn't have much time to spend with the groups, so he started looking for a way to create presentations to help him out.

For this year's holiday music services, I am teaching many new songs. I want to use PowerPoint to create a series of presentations that can help me teach the music quickly and easily, and which the choir members can use from home for review.

I tried synchronizing the music to the slides directly. When I changed from my home machine to the church's machine, the timing was off. How can I use PowerPoint and still keep the timing in sync?
