Dealing with the Speed Bumps


Management style should remain consistent no matter what the economic circumstances may be. In our company, we stick strictly to our business philosophy, and dont let the current business situation alter our style, whether it is positive or negative. We have our methods and our procedures, and we stick to them. Its not as if we will be less demanding just because things are going well. And conversely, we arent more demanding when we are facing difficult challenges. We always expect a high level of performance from our employees and leaders , and they deliver.

That said, although managing principles should remain the same, there are of course some differences that must be dealt with when a company is undergoing times of extremely high growth as ours is. With the dramatic growth that our company has experienced within the last year, we have found that there is less time for training and orientation. Weve been adding people quickly and throwing them into the fray without the advantage of giving them time to develop an appreciation for the Paisley Consulting culture. They have to learn on the fly. So it may be harder to convey expectations to them, and we have to possess more patience in their development.
