Know Your Customers

To be successful, we must cater to our customers needs, and the first step to achieving this is to recognize our audience. As a supplier to the casino industry, we must be cognizant of two constituencies: firstly the casinos themselves and secondly their customers, the gambling public.

Then we incorporate our customers in the production process. Talking to our customers about every detail is extremely important. Our product offerings include both productivity tools and entertainment products. The productivity equipment is designed to increase productivity and security for our customers while at the same time reducing expenses. During the design and development stages, customer discussions and demonstrations are extremely helpful in shaping the eventual productivity products.

Entertainment products, which are primarily casino games, are certainly trickier to predict. Once again, we look to our customers. Focus groups, consisting of gamblers, are helpful. However, we must be careful in evaluating results. Comparative results are generally better than absolute results. For example, if players are asked to rank several products, or compare new products to their favorite existing games , the results are often quite meaningful. On the other hand, asking players to rate new products on an absolute scale is more problematic . Thus, researching the validity and utility of such processes are as important as the processes themselves.
