The main profit centers for a company will always be determined by the company s unique knowledge of their particular industry. The most attention should be given to the areas or divisions where you have the best domain knowledge of the industry and the needs of the customers. The key is to be able to offer a wide range of services needed by the customer. Another must is the ability to provide the technology and processes that allow you to offer those services more efficiently , thereby offering competitive prices and good margins.

Reaching beyond this basic level to find new profit centers becomes much simpler with the foundation in place. Our company expands into new profit centers by finding customers in new verticals for services that we already have perfected for other customers, or by offering new services to customers in existing verticals. However, these offerings must have growth prospects in excess of 30% per annum and our operations must be able to increase margins in excess of 25%. If these checkpoints are in place, our company can then pass on the savings to our customers and grow market share by reducing prices.
