Summary

This chapter focused on the team's two most important procedures: problem solving and decision making. It pays to have a clear understanding on these matters. Without agreed-upon, systematic problem-solving and decision-making procedures, team members will become frustrated and the organization will not benefit from the collective wisdom available. Decisions made by human beings involve many factors and do not solely follow the principles of logic. You can only try to make sure that the expectations have been made clear. The 4-A Plus 2 model is a proven process to help give the team the discipline to work together and address the issues within its domain.
