Who This Book Is For

This book was written for programmers and web developers who want to build web applications using Microsoft's powerful new ASP.NET 2.0 platform. Many readers will have experience with "classic" ASP or ASP.NET 1.x, though that is not required. Many developers will have read a primer on C# (and if not, you may want to take a look at Programming C# or Learning C# both by Jesse Liberty and published by O'Reilly.) Other experienced VB, Java, or C++ developers may decide they can pick up what they need to know about the languages by working through the exercises in this book.
