If you have a CD or DVD recordable or rewritable drive, from time to time you may want to record your own CDs or DVDs containing data or MP3 music. To do this, simply insert a blank CD or DVD recordable disc into your CD or DVD drive or select Places, CD/DVD Creator in any open file manager window. An empty file manager appears showing the title CD/DVD Creator, as shown in Figure 15.15. Figure 15.15. The CD/DVD Creator is a special file manager window that can be used to fill a CD or DVD with files. To create a CD or DVD, simply drag and drop files and folders into the CD/DVD Creator window just as you would into any other file manager window; refer to Chapter 5 if you have forgotten how to manage files using file manager windows. When all the files and folders you want to store on the CD or DVD are listed in the CD/DVD Creator window, choose File, Write to Disc. When the confirmation dialog appears, click Write to save the files you've chosen onto the blank CD or DVD. A progress bar is displayed as the contents are "burned" onto the disk. After the burn is complete, you can use the new CD or DVD like any other data CD or DVD.
