Affected Languages

The problems with SSL are the fault of the API, not the underlying programming language. Therefore, any language can be affected. HTTPS (HTTP, or HyperText Transfer Protocol, over SSL) APIs tend to be less problematic than generic SSL, because the HTTPS protocol mandates authentication checks that general-purpose SSL protocol leaves as optional. As a result, APIs tend to leave this responsibility up to the user .
