You have probably noticed that Google celebrates holidays and various current events by altering its logo. These days, most of Google's inspired and witty alternate logos are created by Dennis Hwang. Google maintains an archive of altered logos, as well as early-history logos before Hwang's reign and fan-created logos. Figures 17-6 and 17-7 show off small portions of these collections.
Figure 17-6: Altered Google logos are archived.
Figure 17-7: Fan logos come in all shapes and sizes, including some animated designs.
Remember | If you want to place a Google logo on your Web site, Google asks that you use an official logo, and you are given a choice of sizes and colored backgrounds. The official logos are located here: www.google.com/stickers.html The altered and fan logos are located on separate pages: www.google.com/holidaylogos.html |
