Providing JVMs per Host

IP Virtual Hosting

If you don't have a domain name associated with a site but you do have an IP address, you can use it for virtual hosting as well. For example:

   <http host='184.38.9.22' port='80'         virtual-host='www.company.com'/>

In this example, a sort of mapping occurs between the specified address and a virtual-host domain value. The virtual-host value will be used as a match against the <host> elements in the configuration file.
