Handling misspelled words

When you're creating new records, FileMaker can help reduce errors by highlighting words that may be misspelled. FileMaker also offers options for changing questionably spelled words without running a spell check on the entire database.

To highlight misspelled words

1.

Within FileMaker, choose File > File Options (Figure 6.17).

2.

When the File Options dialog box appears, click the Spelling tab (Figure 6.18). If you want FileMaker to simply underline questionable words in red, select the checkbox. If you want a more obvious warning, select Beep on questionable spellings or (in Windows) Flash menubar on questionable spellings.
