Webmin is a Web-based tool for doing system administration on a Unix system from a Web browser. It supports a huge number of different Unix systems, including Fedora Core, FreeBSD, Cygwin, and Mac OS X. Using nearly any Web browser (ones that don't support tables and forms are rare these days), you can set up user accounts, control system services, and view logs, among other things. A wide selection of third-party modules enables even more remote administration. While Webmin doesn't remove the need to know at least a bit about what you're doing, it does make things easier and provides a nice graphical interface for administering a system remotely. |
