The following procedure describes how to recover transactions for a failed server. Note that these instructions apply only to nonclustered servers.
Copy all the transaction log files from the failed server to a new server. Note that you must complete this step before starting the new server.
On the new server, set the TransactionLogFilePrefix attribute to match the location of the log files you copied over in step 1.
Start the new server. As part of the startup process, the Transaction Recovery Service will search the transaction log files you copied over for incomplete transactions and attempt to complete them.
