Table 18-1 lists some of the more useful keyboard shortcuts that can save you time while working with Calc spreadsheets.

Backspace
Deletes the contents of a cell without bringing up the Delete Contents window.

Opens/Closes Navigator window (whether it's docked or undocked).

Opens/Closes the Stylist window (whether it's docked or undocked).

Recalculates the spreadsheet if it's not set to recalculate automatically (Tools > Cell Contents > AutoCalculate).
Home
Moves to the first cell in a row.
End
Moves to the last cell in a row, corresponding to the last column in the spreadsheet that contains data.
Shift+F4
Lets you apply absolute and relative cell references to selected cell address text. For example, if you have the text C4 highlighted in a formula, press Shift+F4 to toggle among different absolute/relative combinations, such as $C$4, C$4, and $C4. See Relative and Absolute Cell References on page 568.
Shift+F5
Trace dependents. Arrows point to the cells that depend on the selected cell (refer to it). This is a great spreadsheet troubleshooting tool.
Shift+F6
Trace precedents . Arrows point to the cells that the current cell refers to. This is a great spreadsheet troubleshooting tool.
Ctrl+Page Up
Move to previous sheet.
Ctrl+Page Down
Move to next sheet.
Ctrl+b
Applies/Removes bold formatting in selected text.
Ctrl+i
Applies/Removes italic formatting in selected text.
