The complex articles system built in to PostNuke is often the hub around which all other site features seem to revolve. It is the module set to home page by default, and nearly every PostNuke site uses it that way. It's very natural that content-centered information portal websites would want a news system up front, and most likely you will want to use articles in your site as well. You should be aware that many third-party alternatives to core modules are available, some of which are discussed in later chapters. But it is easiest to first use the standard modules before branching out. Though some outside modules have many more options and features over core systems, they can also be more complex and require greater time overhead to maintain.
