Troubleshooting

Some modules might give you trouble when you are adding or removing them. It's possible that a module-gone-bad can confuse PostNuke and blank out the Modules Administration page completely, preventing you from disabling the bad module. If this occurs, just rename the suspect module's directory. This breaks PostNuke's connection to the module. Then, when you go back to the Modules Administration page, PostNuke is unable to see the confusing module code, and you can remove the now-defunct entry.

You can also install multiple modules with otherwise similar names, functions, and directories by using different main folder names. pnAPI-compliant modules are added and referenced by their folder name. For example, if you are trying out a number of different weather modules, but each, by default, wants to use "weather" for its main directory, just call the second install "weather2," and so on. After you have finished your testing, it's easy to remove a module, rename everything back the way you want it, and then re-add the module for permanent use.
