SQL Server Management Studio provides the user interface for connecting to the Integration Services Server, managing packages on local or remote servers, managing legacy DTS packages, and scheduling package execution with SQL Server Agent. It also provides a rich environment for building relational databases and managing all aspects of your SQL Server database. Management Studio supports the Integration Services Server in the Object Explorer window and you can configure the locations and folders shown in the Object Explorer by modifying the Integration Services Server configuration file. The Integration Services Server provides component enumeration and caching mechanisms that speed up package execution and load times.
