The Office applications support full-featured help, together with two shortcuts for accessing that help.

The Office 2003 applications display the Help task pane. The Office 2000 and Office XP applications by default display the Office Assistant. If you turn off the Office Assistant, Office 2000 and Office XP display the application s Help file in a separate window. (To turn off the Office Assistant, click the Options button to display the Options tab of the Office Assistant dialog box, clear the Use the Office Assistant check box, and then click the OK button.)

What s This? Help displays a question mark next to the mouse pointer. You then click on an object in the application window to display a ScreenTip of help about that object. Press [Esc] to turn off What s This? Help. Word 2003 In Word 2003, [Shift] - [F1] displays the Reveal Formatting task pane. Excel Excel doesn t use the [Shift] - [F1] shortcut.
