To try the techniques and examples in Mastering Dreamweaver MX Databases, you'll need Dreamweaver MX, a relational database system, a web server, and an Internet connection. Of course, you may have a much more sophisticated system already, but you don't really need it just to learn. You'll find that most of the technology choices are made for you rather than by you, and the operating system is a big factor.
